I’ve had an idea while typing at you now. Last month I was all about removing my skin tan and that’s why I used my Turmeric Coconut Water Facemask and the Oatmeal Scrub. I posted the results at the bottom of this post. This month why don’t I come at you with an egg white skin tightening facemask? I’m going to use one facemask a month and test its effectiveness and the changes on my skin. I’ve missed this egg white facemask and I’ve decided that February is month of the anti-aging facemask, which is ironic because my birthday is also this month. So here I am fighting age when the inevitable result is that I’m growing older anyways. Talk about a smack in the face.
For this facemask you will need;
-1 egg white
-1 tsp. honey
-1 tsp. extra virgin olive oil
Mix your egg white in a bowl until it gets frothy. Add the other ingredients and mix until uniform. Wash your face using warm water to open the pores and also to remove any dirt, makeup and gunk. Use a piece of cotton wool to apply the mask onto your face.
Avoid the area under the eyes because skin here can be very sensitive to stretching. Lie down and wait 15 minutes for the mask to dry and then wash off with warm water and finish off with cold water.
This was a simple facemask to prepare. I added olive oil to the mask to counter the raw egg smell. The two ingredients blocked the egg smell perfectly making sure a facemask that’s usually uncomfortable to apply becomes enjoyable to have on.
The mask feels so cooling on your skin. After washing it off, I noticed my skin looked shiny- not just a much appreciated glow, but a ‘I’m ready to conquer this day’ shine. Woah. I loved the silky feel of my skin which felt moisturized even before I applied my olive oil.
I’ll be using this facemask once a week and will let you know the results.
Beauty Benefits Of Ingredients Used
Egg whites contain proteins that tone and firm the skin. They reduce the appearance of pores on the skin. Egg whites hydrate, eliminate free radicals and promote youthful skin.
Honey is naturally antimicrobial, antibacterial and is filled with antioxidants. It’s a great cleansing agent because it absorbs impurities from your skin.
Extra virgin olive oil is a natural moisturizer filled with antioxidants that fight free radicals. Free radicals cause aging, wrinkles, acne along with other skin issues. Olive oil contains healthy fats that nourish, moisturize and hydrate skin.

I’ll post any changes I see at the bottom of this post for you in the next few weeks. Here’s to a few more weeks of raw eggs and tight and youthful skin!
