Akusi Organics Rosemary Soap Review

featured

A few months back I was doing that thing we all do where we’re idly scrolling through Instagram, land on one profile and then another and another and… what is eventually referred to as an Instagram black hole. This is how I ended up on the Akusi Organics Instagram page.

Akusi sells natural soaps like watermelon soap, charcoal soap, turmeric soap, tomato soap, etc. This got me interested seeing as I’d never heard of chemical free soaps in Kenya yet. This was definitely something I was willing to give a try despite the weirdness of it all. I mean, tomato soap?

There were two soaps in stock at the time and I chose to buy one of each. This is the first of the two purchases from Akusi- a rosemary soap review.

Packaging

Akusi’s packaging isn’t guaranteed to jump at you if you passed it on a supermarket shelf. It’s very dull and un-interesting. The soaps are wrapped with transparent foil and labelled.

Use

The soaps can be used for both face and body. Been using the rosemary soap for body 2 weeks now and it’s almost done.

Experience

The soap smells wonderful and it makes me feel so relaxed every time I’m using it. Akusi told me she uses natural ingredients only to create the lather and beautiful smell. Everytime I come from the shower I look forward to my next rosemary soap experience.

Downside

Every time you use the soap, rosemary sticks will always come out. This makes the soap end up looking a bit ugly. This may be a bit uncomfortable for anyone who is more about the visual than the physical.

Why Rosemary Soap?

Rosemary soap aids in the regeneration of cells. It has anti-inflammatory properties, which makes it good for many skin problems. It also promotes blood circulation ensuring your skin remains healthy and young. It is said that it also softens skin.

Akusi Organics Rosemary Soap: To Buy Or Not To Buy?

The rosemary soap from Akusi Organics will cost you Ksh 250. Considering the skin benefits and freshness that awaits you, I’d say it’s a pretty good investment. I am looking forward to buying my next batch of soaps from Akusi, and you can bet I’ll be adding a rosemary soap to the order.

If you’re big on natural skincare, then this rosemary soap is a must buy for you. I used it with my exfoliating gloves and the experience was amazing. I love love the effect and I hope you do too. Is this something you’d try? Let me know in the comments below!
