Easter holiday in Nairobi- Easter holiday in Nairobi cocktail plan

There are two types of Nairobians; one who will spend their Easter holiday in deep meditation and another who will spend it rolling in the depths of a bottle. If you don’t have much of a plan for your Easter holidays and would rather spend them at home, I have a few cocktail ideas that will make this your most memorable Easter holiday weekend yet!

Do you think you deserve a break? That wretched Nairobi sun combined with a 4 day holiday warrants the consumption of a reasonable number of cold cocktails. Check out these easy to make concoctions below:

  1. The Salty Dog

Nothing says “Let’s party” more than a round of margaritas. The best thing about having margaritas this Easter holiday is that you can have them slow because it’s going to be a long, long weekend.

  1. Gummy bear treats

There’s something about gummy bears. Aside from being delicious, they are shaped like teddy bears which makes you name them in your head as you eat them. One other fact about these delicious treats is that once they are soaked in alcohol for a certain period of time they end up soaking all the liquid.

Soak your gummy bears in a bowl and pour your alcohol of choice into the bowl.

Place a lid on the bowl and leave it to rest for about 1 to 2 days. Keep on checking back to see whether the gummy bears have soaked all the alcohol.

Some people soak them for a few hours, a few days or a whole week. Ensure they’ve soaked up all the alcohol to enjoy them best. After that, place them in a refrigerator then serve.
